August 1, St. Georges, Grenada
We made it! We reached mainland Grenada. We sailed down the island chain and reached our destination. This is big for us newbies!
It was a very pleasant day sail from Cariacou to Grenada. Of course we set out at 9:55 a.m., five whole minutes before the start of the day’s regatta race, which started in our anchorage. The skipper didn’t want to wait. We weren’t in the way much, naaaa.
After 34nm with winds 10-20k, we pulled into St. George’s and immediately started looking for Grenada Marine, where we haul out the boat this week. And… it doesn’t seem to be here! There are two marinas here; they look very nice, but they are not our’s. So we must find some wifi to google it.
